So there is my name on page 1 of "Pacific Standard Time: Art Los Angeles, 1945-1980", said the Getty with a massive review of the catalog for his monumental effort to get the Southern California Contemporary Art in New York until now focused history American modernism. Mention not so much about me as my 1974 book, "Sunshine Muse: Contemporary Art in the West Bank" (which was reissued by the University of California Press as "Sunshine Muse: Art on the West Coast, 1945-1970" in 2000).

I met them in '89 in Prestonsburg, Ky. They gave me their signatures on my cassette cover. Nicholai looked at me as if he could not believe I even heard of them before their arrival there. But I have, thanks to the CCM and I bought the tape. They are even granted me an interview for my work in my college newspaper. Truly a great experience meeting them.

Ruscha Come Alive?
The band is one of my favorite Christian Rock groups, but they only launched one album, "Come Alive", because they were defectors from communist Russia and the album was launched in 1988. I'm just seeing if anyone else has ever heard of them...
A: I actually have that cassette at home. It's been a while since I listed to it. There was a song called "Come Alive" I think. It was really good.
