The next exhibition of David Hockney at the Royal Academy of Arts was titled "David Hockney: the bigger picture." The artist hopes to use the impact of the Olympics to present his last production as many people as possible, including his work on the iPad.
From 21 January to 9 April 2012, about 180 files septuagenarian will be shown in London institution. At the turn of the century, Hockney moved back to Yorkshire, where he spent his childhood days, with the desire to paint the countryside.According to the exhibition press release, "highlights will include three sets of new jobs created since 2005, when Hockney returned to live in Bridlington, shows an intense observation of his environment in different media. The exhibition will reveal the artists emotional engagement with the landscape he knew in his youth, while examined on a daily basis the changing seasons, the cycle of growth and variations in lighting conditions. The show will take visitors on a journey through the world of Hockney.
